The Gold Standard in Wildlife Training
Professional Courses (6 /12 months)
If you’re looking for the most comprehensive way to get in-depth skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience to launch into a thriving career, our professional wildlife courses are perfect for you.
You’ll spend your days in the bush, away from technology, where nature itself becomes your teacher. By combining practical fieldwork with classroom learning in Big Five environments, you’ll build a solid foundation to step confidently into the wildlife industry.
Training takes place at one of our Bushwise campuses, including the Greater Kruger National Park, Kruger National Park, Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, Selati Game Reserve, Babanango Game Reserve, and Makalali Game Reserve.
These ecosystems offer varied terrain, diverse species, and the chance to learn directly from the natural world. On campus, you’ll be part of a diverse, like-minded group of people who share your passion for wildlife, adventure, and conservation.

Shaping ultimate
wildlife guides
The International Field Guide Association (IFGA) sets globally transferable standards for wildlife and safari guides.
The letters IFGA, by their name, mean a guide has been successfully assessed against the industry’s only fully guest-centred criteria and is prepared to exceed guest expectations, every step of the way.
Bushwise is the exclusive Southern African training provider for IFGA certifications. For the select students in our IFGA 6 or 12-month course who qualify, IFGA certification comes at no additional cost.
