Our longer 6- and 12-month courses are designed for those looking to build a career in the wildlife industry. These courses combine hands-on practical training, industry qualifications, valuable field experience, and theoretical learning. Depending on the course, students can gain experience in safari guiding, conservation management, wildlife tourism, lodge operations, and game reserve management. Our safari guide courses include the opportunity to earn CATHSSETA Nature Site Guide qualifications, with students working towards their NQF2 qualification during training and the option to progress to NQF4 through further industry experience and assessment. All 12-month courses include a 6-month work placement, giving students access to valuable networking opportunities, industry exposure, and real-world experience in the field.
