Join our free Virtual Open Day and learn how you could become a qualified field guide with Bushwise. Change your career trajectory or take a life-changing gap year or sabbatical. Come with your questions – our experienced staff members will be available live to answer them!

On 16 March 2024, we’re opening our virtual doors to all future field guides and nature enthusiasts. Join us for a live discussion about our in-person and online field guide courses, and learn how you can make a change and start your career as a safari guide or conservationist regardless of where in the world you’re from!

During this interactive online event, you’ll hear more about our career courses, online courses, internships and our employment guarantee. We’ll hear from a Bushwise alum about campus life, and a woman who made her way from the USA to South Africa to pursue a lifelong goal of working in conservation.

As a bonus, by attending the event you’ll qualify for a reduced deposit of GBP 680 (or country equivalent). A limited number of scholarships are also available for Open Day attendees (for 2024 and 2025 start dates).

If you’re interested in a career in conservation or safari guiding, or just an epic gap year in South Africa, this is your chance to answer your wild calling!

This event will take place as a live discussion over Zoom.* We’ll send you a link (via email and SMS) the day before the event. Our speakers will present and attendees can engage via the chatbox and ask the presenter questions in real-time. These questions will be answered live after the presentations.

*Please note that no Zoom account is needed. In the event that you would like to download Zoom, then the free version is perfectly suitable. Please note that the presenters and other attendees will not be able to see or hear you; and questions are taken via Zoom chat and Q&A.
