Fred

Bushwise Trainer

Originally from the Free State, Fred's career started with a degree in Nature Conservation and a practical year with the Veterinary Services of SANParks. He then found his passion in guiding focusing on training and mentoring new guides. He has worked at various lodges around Kruger and KZN province.

Annie

Communications Lead

Annie is from the USA, but after earning a Masters in Global Policy Studies in 2015, she moved to South Africa to pursue a career in conservation. She is the Communications Lead for Bushwise and researches wild dogs in Kruger National Park. She also holds FGASA NQF2 qualification and Level 2 Tracker.

Channel

Support Coordinator

Channel grew up in Thabazimbi and weekends consisted of trips to the bush exploring new rivers, waterfalls and mountains. This is where she developed a love for the bush from a young age. Her background is in sales and beauty and she enjoys seeing people succeed and doing better.

On 25 May 2024, we’re opening our virtual doors to all future field guides and nature enthusiasts. Join us for a live discussion about our in-person and online field guide courses, and learn how you can make a change and start your career as a safari guide or conservationist regardless of where in the world you’re from!

 

During this interactive online event, you’ll hear more about our career courses, online courses, internships and our employment guarantee. We’ll hear from a Bushwise alum about campus life, and a woman who made her way from the USA to South Africa to pursue a lifelong goal of working in conservation. 

 

As a bonus, attendees will qualify for a promotional discount of up to R40,000.00 off a 6-12 month course, R20,000.00 off a 60-day course and 10% off an online course  (foreign currency equivalent applies) if their full payment or payment plan deposit is paid by midnight SAST 24 June 2024 - terms and conditions apply.
