This campus hosts our IFGA Safari Guide Training Experience (7-28 days) and Safari Guide Training Taster (3-day) students. In the heart of the Selati Game Reserve lies your new home, Nkuwa Wilderness Camp. Surrounded by Big Five wilderness and immersed in nature,this camp is located just 50 kilometres from Hoedspruit in South Africa’s Limpopo province. The Selati Game Reserve spans an impressive 28,000 hectares with diverse habitats that support a wide array of plant and animal life. It is home to over 50 mammal species including the iconic Big Five, more than 280 bird species, and hundreds of plant species including a rare cycad. With only four ensuite safari tents, Nkuwa Wilderness Camp offers an intimate and exclusive bushveld experience. This off-grid camp is powered by advanced solar technology, promoting sustainability and minimising its environmental footprint. While you’ll be immersed in nature while at the camp, you’re just a short drive from Hoedspruit – a vibrant and well-established town where you can conveniently stock up on any essentials during your time with us.

Accommodation on the campus is unfenced, offering a truly immersive experience within the heart of the Selati Game Reserve.

Here, you’ll be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African bush, with opportunities to observe a variety of species that call the reserve home.

You’ll stay in shared safari tents, designed to blend comfort with the natural environment. These tents, constructed with solid wooden poles and canvas sides, are on raised platforms and offer stunning views into nature. Each tent is equipped with tea and coffee stations, a cupboard, a desk and an en-suite bathroom.

The communal living area is the heart of the camp, and consists of a lounge, a dining area, a firepit and a braai (barbeque) area – everything you need to feel right at home.
